Dr. Kristian Frantzen was born and raised in Richmond, British Columbia. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with a specialty in Recreation and Health Education from the University of Victoria. Dr. Frantzen is a graduate of the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College, where he obtained his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree.
Dr. Frantzen is a former rugby player, having competed at the varsity, national and international levels. Currently, he provides chiropractic and medical support for the BC Lions, BC Wheelchair Basketball, BC Wrestling, UBC varsity rowing, the Adam Ryan MMA fight team and the Canada mens National Field Hockey Team in preparation for the 2016 Olympics. Dr. Frantzen has over 8 years experience as a personal fitness trainer and has collaborated with VANOC and the International Olympic Committee with respect to public health and wellness.
Dr. Frantzen has been a life long active member in the Richmond community, most notably working with the Richmond Olympic Oval in developing their youth elite performance programs. Offering a diverse clinical approach, Dr. Frantzen provides chiropractic care to athletes and non-athletes alike.
Combining chiropractic care, exercise therapy, sport rehabilitation, functional assessment and training, Dr. Frantzen’s focus is in health maintenance/optimization, rehabilitation, soft tissue therapy, joint manipulations and joint mobilizations. Dr. Frantzen is level 1 certified with the Titleist Performance Institute. He is also a provider of Graston Technique®, as well as, Active Release Techniques®.
